The expansive stress along the hole depth is almost constant except for that near the entrance of holes. Generally, the expansive loss from the hole entrance has little effect on the demolition work when the hole depth is enough When a free surface exists, the crack, as shown in 5, is pushed apart mainly by the shear stress, and a secondary crack also arises from the bottom of the hole running toward the free surface. the crack width cannot increase but horizontal cracks are initiated. Therefore, in order to obtain two free surfaces, inclined holes or presplitting is required. The larger the hole diameter is, the greater the expansive stress becomes and the wider the hole spacing becomes.

  • SOUNDLESS CRACKING
  • NO LICENSE
  • SIMPLE HANDLING
  • SYSTEMATICAL DEMOLITION
  • NO SMOKE
  • NO VIBRATION
  • NO ENVIRONMENTAL POLLUTION

INTRACHEM is a non-explosive demolition agent which is quite different from ordinary demolition agents such as explosives and dangerous materials. It does not cause any fly rock, noise, ground vibration, gas, dust or any other environmental pollution when used properly. As requirements for demolishing rock or reinforced concrete in construction increase in tight quarters, the use of explosives and explosive agents are becoming more restricted as far as safety and environmental pollution problems are concerned. INTRACHEM is a solution. When INTRACHEM mixed with an appropriate quantity of water is poured into cylindrical holes drilled in advance in rock or concrete to be demolished, it hardens and expands and then causes cracks systematically. After that, the material with cracks can be easily removed with a pick hammer, a pneumatic breaker, an excavator, etc.

ADVANTAGES OF INTRACHEM:

1. SOUNDLESS CRACKING:

Unlike the existing method of Demolition done by explosives or breaking equipment, INTRACHEM quietly and gradually demolishes rock or concrete with its expansive stress (more than 30 N/mm2 caused by hydration reaction, so that INTRACHEM does not cause any noise, vibration, fly rock. dust and gas.

2. NO LICENSE:

Using INTRACHEM does not require a special license unlike explosives. Explosive agents, etc.

3. SIMPLE HANDLING:

Neither capping with mortar, sand, eta. Nor tamping with an oar is necessary after INTRACHEM mined with water R poured into drilled holes m rock or concrete.

4. SYSTEMATICAL DEMOLITION AND DEMOLITION IN WATER:

INTRACHEM can demolish rock or concrete systematically. And also demolition work in water is possible.

5. HIGH-EFFICIENCY DEMOLITION WORK:

INTRACHEM can demolish rock or concrete systematically. And also demolition work in water is possible.

TECHNICAL MANUAL

CALCIUM HYDROXIDE C2 will seem dry at first. Do not add more water! Once mixing begins, you have only 5 minute to finish mixing and pouring, do not stop to take a phone call or walk around, Longer mixing time will cause blow outs. For horizontal holes, a grouting pump and a plug for stopping are required or choose cartridge type package to use.

CRACKING TIME:

The cracks appear in 45min after filling, depending on weather, rock and concrete temperature. The cracks become wider with time (24hr max. expanding time), general speaking, splitting time is 3-10 hours as normally, if small crack is found, you can pour water in crack line for more water in crack line for more expanding, Cracking gap would be 3-5 cm, and then carry out demolition work.

CONTROL OF POWER REACTION TIME:

Site TemperatureQuantity
5°CNO
15°C1/3 Bag
25°C2/3 Bag
35°C1 bag (20 g)

Quicker reaction as higher temperature , in working, there are two ways to control agent reaction time, For universal type, inhibitor of one 20 gram per bag are available for 5 kg package in carton, 20g inhibitor can be added into water firstly and then mix the powder to avoid the possibility of blow out shots, adding refer to the follow table as under.

RECOMMENDATIONS

A pair of safely goggles, rubber gloves and dust- proof mask is recommended when working. After filling, DO NOT look at any hole closely and directly within 2-3 hrs after filling expansive cement. Keep CALCIUM HYDROXIDE C2 in storage. Choice the correct type for the weather.

USAGE TIPS:

  • Mix well and pour into holes while agitating the hole to make sure no air gaps are in the hole.
  • Fill the hole almost to the top, leave at least 1/2 inch before reaching the top.
  • In the summer, the best time to use CALCIUM HYDROXIDE C2 is early in the morning or evening when temperature of material is low. High material temperature might cause blowout.
  • In the summer, cover holes to avoid direct sunlight. Example: using a tarp or wet hay.
  • In the summer, when it is very hot, you may put some ice into water, then mix with CALCIUM HYDROXIDE C2.
  • Depending on the material, you may be able to mix CALCIUM HYDROXIDE C2 with more water to your lower cost if possible.
  • For better results, it is important to note both air and material temperature, Material temperature is the temperature inside of the rock or concrete which can be different from the air temperature. DO NOT GUESS! Tie a strip the thermometer and lower it into the drill hole.
  • In winter, mix 1% calcium chloride with CALCIUM HYDROXIDE C2. Example: 100 lbs of CALCIUM HYDROXIDE C2 mix with 1 lb calcium chloride.
  • If CALCIUM HYDROXIDE C2 completely dried into powder and did not rack, pour additional water onto CALCIUM HYDROXIDE C2 filled holes.
  • Never fill glass or metal containers with CALCIUM HYDROXIDE C2, or any container which widens towards the bottom.
  • Never pump CALCIUM HYDROXIDE C2.
  • Mixing by hand lengthens mix time and is more likely to result in a blowout. When rock or concrete is above 730F, add 5 ounces of extra water per 5 kilo container (330, iced).
